After December's volume 3 of Nico Tanigawa's It’s Not My Fault That I’m Not Popular! confirmed that the web-manga was due to be adapted into anime, spin-off It's Not My Fault That My Friend's Unpopular! ran with a promo for the sure to be much talked series.

JMPA (The Japanese Magazine Publishers Association) published the latest report for the circulation date for the major Japanese magazines on its official website on February 19th. The data covers the three months period from October 1 to December 31, 2012. The numbers in the list are for the copies printed by the publishers, not net paid circulation. So they may include some amounts of returns from bookstores, comic stores, and newsstands. According to the date, even the most popular manga/anime specialized magazines in Japan, Shueisha's Shonen Jump and Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype dropped in circulation from the same period of 2011, especially Newtype lost a huge 27% in one year. As many of you know, a lot of popular anime series (and not-so-popular ones as well) are based on a manga that came before it (and, more rarely, vice versa). While in some cases this can result in a very close adaptation, almost frame-by-frame, panel-by-panel, it’s not uncommon for one to differ from another. In turn, sometimes those differences are as simple as a few throwaway “filler” arcs (usually used when the anime has to waste time while waiting for the manga to “catch up” as it were), but in others the entire backstory or narrative is altered in one medium or the other. And so the idea for a new anime feature article series is born; comparing corresponding anime and manga (and, potentially, their other spinoffs), noting their major narrative and tone differences, and weighting in on which (if either) works better. The official website for Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Tuesday that an hour-long crossover television anime special betweenToriko, One Piece, and Dragon Ball Z will air on Sunday, April 7 at 9:00 a.m. The "Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Chō Collaboration Special!!" will air in two parts: the first part will be titled "Hashire Saikyō Gundan! Toriko to Luffy to Goku!" (Run, Strongest Army! Toriko, Luffy, Goku!), and the second part will be titled: "Shijō Saikyō Collaboration vs. Umi no Taishokukan" (History's Strongest Collaboration vs. Glutton of the Sea). Toriko and One Piece have already been featured in two crossover specials in April 2011 and April 2012. The third special will commemorate the start of the third year of the Toriko anime, which premiered in April 2011. Toriko and One Piece share Fuji TV 's "Dream 9" programming block that begins on Sundays at 9:00 a.m.

Hiromu Arakawa's new manga series "Silver Spoon" will be adapted into an animated TV series. The anime adaptation will run on Fuji Television Network Inc.'s "noitaminA" midnight animation slot, its official website said. Because the second halves of "Psycho-Pass" and "Robotics; Notes" are currently airing on the slot and reruns of the one-hour "Katanagatari" series will follow in April, "Silver Spoon" will likely premiere in or after July.
